The individual members of this quartet have performed on stage with a diverse cadre of artistes including, Patti Labelle, James Ingram, Machel Montano, Mighty Sparrow, Andy Narrell.
Two are founders and current members of bluemangÓ, a regional Caribbean Jazz Quintet, which has performed extensively within and outside of the Caribbean , opening for varied artistes such as John Legend, Hugh Masekela, Kenny G, Richard Bona , and Mario Canonge to name a few. In between their collective and individual pursuits the members have set up a Jazz fusion format where they perform the music of some of their great influences while having some fun in the process.
The quartet pays homage to legendary artistes/groups such as Jaco Pastorius, Miles Davis, Bob Marley, Yellowjackets, Chick Corea, among others but always with a twist that reflects their own perspective. It is also a medium to try out new compositions or interpret popular Caribbean music in the language of Jazz. In short, Alibi (which borrows elements from the literal definition of the word) is an excuse to keeps their creative juices flowing.
