Teddyson John became Saint Lucia's first Groovy Soca Monarch in 2007. His single, "Coming Down the Road" became a certified groovy anthem for the country and gained TJ's national recognition as the smoothest and most soulful voice in soca.

TJ followed with multiple hits like "Whine Up on Me", the ambassadorial song "Home for Carnival" and "Land of Wine." By 2012 TJ had not only secured the title of groovy king in the hearts of many but was greatly admired for his one of a kind performances on stage and his professionalism.

Despite his national appeal TJ continues to push the envelope. " I want to be a pioneer for music coming out of Saint Lucia, TJ says. " I want people to know that Saint Lucia has the kind of talent that can compete on a world stage".

TJ's journey has certainly supported this statement and has showcased Saint Lucia's talent to audiences in Toronto, Canada, Miami, New York, Texas, Barbados. At home he has shared the stage with international artiste James Ingram, Bebe Winans, Patti LaBelle, and Jamaican fusion act Brick and Lace at the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival over several years.

Most notably he has been the opening act for International super stars John Legend, Luther Vandross, Richard Bona, Micheal Bolton and Ne- Yo. Teddyson John's talent has earned him the privilege of opening for Caribbean Acts Machel Montano HD, Kes The Band, Destra Garcia and Bunji Garlin.
